Enjoy all the benefits of an Athletics Club at a discounted Rate
As well as continuing to enjoy the benefits of being an ACT member (and part of the Triathlon NZ community), you now also have access to a wide range of athletics events and championships. These include…
Athletics Auckland oversees the 6-race winter cross country series. These races are held in a variety of locations around Auckland, meaning that athletes compete in a range of distances and terrains across the season. Cross Country is not only great for training purposes (what better way than to race yourself to fitness) but also offers the unique opportunity of going head to head with pure runners.
National Road Relay Championships are the highlight of the athletic calendar. Held in a different iconic location each year, the road relays combine athletics and teamwork in an exciting weekend of racing. Teams can be as competitive or as social as you like, so there really is something for everyone!
Eligibility for National Championship Titles:
For those runners at the pointy end of the field, national championship titles can also be contended as an ACT member. National titles on offer include marathon and half marathon, 3000m, 10,000m, cross country and mountain running. Let’s see if we can cause a bit of a stir and get a triathlete on the podium at an athletics championship event!
