Welcome to a new venue and new chapter!

Thank you, Pukekohe - we've loved all 12 editions!. We are stoked to announce that the 2023 edition of the Auckland Duathlon Championships will be hosted at Ambury Farm Park and surrounding area.

The run course makes the most of the fabulous flat and scenic Watercare Coastal walkways.  The ride uses the quiet surrounding roads thanks to the host community of Mangere Bridge.

The new venue is only 16kms from downtown Auckland and 8.5kms from the Auckland airport.

Auckland City Tri Club has hosted the annual Duathlon at Pukekohe racetrack since 2009!  Athletes got the best of both worlds - a fast smooth surface on the bike, a variety of run surfaces...all in a compact location.  Many of NZ's brightest stars have made their start in this race!

This year the event once again hosts the New Zealand Sprint Duathlon Championship and New Zealand Secondary School Duathlon Championship and New Zealand Para Duathlon which makes it an even better reason to enter.

We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting new venue in August 2023...

Sprint Distance Duathlon

Run 5km | Bike 20kms | Run 2.5kms*

Auckland Duathlon Sprint and Schools Duathlon events are draft legal (no aerobars or tri bikes – road set up only)

Distances vary for Schools and Para Athletes, see for more.

U19 athletes wishing to qualify for AG World Championships may qualify via the school's race, and do not need to race both.  Triathlon NZ will use your results from this to assess your nomination.  Please complete the nomination process as normal.
