The club once again held our popular Pukekohe Park Raceway even on Aug 8th. The day included a Duathlon and cycle time trials all within the confines of the Pukekohe Racetrack.
This year also doubled as the North Island Interclub competition

Come and join fellow triathletes to watch the individual TT that may decide “Le Tour” this is 2 days after the riders have done the Tourmalet and just one day before the march to Paris. It will be an action packed morning, including post viewing cycle ride options

George & Dan who run TACT coaching are putting together a group for the famous Noosa Triathlon festival on 31st oct.
It includes a training camp so not only will you experience one of the best races Down Under, but also it will set you up perfectly for the summer. You'll establish some great camaraderie too.

For those of you new to sport, looking at getting fit and prepared for the summer season, the club has an excellent Beginners Training Group opportunity.

The last Panasonic People's Tri doubled as our club champs, and we are pleased to announce our club champions

Liz Goer (who with Tony O'Hagan look after many of the club's Junior triathletes) reports on some fantastic club results at the NZ Secondary Schools Tri Champs.

Coach, George Hilgeholt, is putting on a special workshop to cover Bike Maintenance & Repairs along with cycle expert Ben Marshall of Performance Bicycle Tuning. George has extended a FREE invitation for any club members - a fantastic opportunity!

TriNZ have a couple of upcoming events of interest.
The first is an initiative to target talented juniors with potential to race for NZ at the 2016 Olympics in Rio (Tri-4-Rio)
The second is a free Level 1 Technical Officials Course in Auckland. A chance to learn an important aspect of triathlon and give something back to the sport.

Free sausages, refreshments, 'bring a friend', mix and mingle ... all good reasons to visit the club tent at the last Panasonic People's Race on Sunday 18th April

As mentioned above, bring a friend along to the club tent, introduce them to the club, and they will receive half price membership for the Winter.

Help the club by helping out at the next TriWoman race at Maraetai on 11th April

Check out the forum section to see what a great contingent we had from the club competing at the National Champs in Wellington. Led by Patrick Harvey with 1st place in the 40-44, followed by a number of podiums and results which should earn World Champ qualification.

With the final race of the Stroke & Stride completed, the winners of the Club Point Series competition have been found.

Congratulations to club coach, George Hilgeholt, who has won the Tri NZ "Coach of the Year" title.

With swim coach, Haydn Woolley who films your swim technique underwater and then follows up with individual plus general technique assessment and advice.

Congratulations to club members Jo & Cameron for their brilliant wins at Ironman New Zealand (and 5th place for James Bowstead). And well done all our club members for some amazing performances in Taupo. Check out the results in the forum section including 5 Podiums, 12 Top 10's.
