Cameron has been a dedicated ACT club member for many years and has flown the flag for the club on the world stage. Cameron has achieved 4 podium finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Kona and a phenomenal 10 New Zealand Ironman wins. Cameron was also New Zealand Sportsman of the year in 2001
Tony is one of the only ACT featured life members who is not in Wikipedia – so this will be brief …. (just kidding)
Tony is not only one of the club’s most successful nationally ranked triathletes, but has also contributed much to the club in the form of coaching. Tony is a multiple New Zealand Elite Champion in long distance triathlon and has achieved podium places twice at the New Zealand ironman.
Jo is another of our club’s ‘rock stars’ who is always willing to support the club. Jo has won New Zealand ironman 7 times and has 6 top 10 finishes at the World Ironman Championships in Kona, including 3 top 5s.
Bruce Chambers ONZM
Bruce is a founding member of the Auckland City Triathlon Club, and has also contributed his time and skills as the Honorary Auditor.
Bruce is a life member of Triathlon New Zealand, and has contributed much time to furthering the careers of budding triathletes.
He was a technical official at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, the 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane, and the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Hamish Carter ONZM
Gold Medallist for triathlon at the 2004 Athens Olympics, Hamish needs no introduction. As well as winning the premium prize in the sport, Hamish also achieved 3 ITU World Championship podiums (along with 9 top 10 finishes) as well as being crowned World Xterra Champion in 2006. Hamish continues to contribute to the sport of triathlon and is always happy to offer his time to the club.
Darragh has been a dedicated member of the ACT team since the founding of the club, serving on the committee for over 10 years. A dedicated age group athlete, Darragh has given his commercial experience and insight…and hard work to ensure we have a well structured and stable club.
